On Games and Healing

feature photo

Study has it that there is a healing power in games. Recently a story about a man suffering from a stroke and put into rehab recuperated wonderfully. He and his wife have been playing video games long before the unfortunate incident and she figured that she could introduce playing video as an unconventional therapy for her husband. With a paralyzed left side, he lost some of his range of vision. Playing the game once again he finds it essential to propel his head from right to left, up and down to be able to find objects as what the game is all about. Video games indeed test psychomotor developments as directed by the brain as well as enhance logic and agility especially among children. When in doubt choosing for presents, video games could be one of those unique baby gifts one could give. If it doesn’t come in handy for the baby or child yet, maybe Mom and Dad can give it a try.
